Santa Clara University Selects AiM™ for Enterprise Asset Management

(Wayne, PA – September 3, 2009) AssetWorks, a leading provider of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software solutions, announced that it has signed a facilities management software and implementation services contract with Santa Clara University. The university selected AssetWorks to replace several separate systems in order to share data across departments and to better manage their physical assets.

The Facilities Department supports the mission of Santa Clara University by coordinating and accomplishing the planning, design, creation, operation, and maintenance of a quality physical environment. This requires using a solid foundation of values as guidelines for assessing and proposing solutions.  These three essential values are: Customer Service, Quality of Work Life and Efficient Use of Resources. After a competitive process that included a full analysis of EAM software applications, AiM was the solution that was most consistent with these values.

“In this difficult economic climate, institutions of higher education are challenged with balancing innovation and cost savings,” said Ken Slaughter, Senior Vice President of AssetWorks.  “We are honored to partner with Santa Clara University and implement a solution that means enhanced proficiency and savings.”

Santa Clara University, founded in 1851 by the Society of Jesus as "Santa Clara College," is California's oldest operating institution of higher learning. The 106-acre campus with over 50 buildings is located in Santa Clara, CA, at the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay.  SCU is nationally recognized for having the fourth-highest graduation rate among all US master’s universities.
